Jamaica will become the premier Spinning, Fitness and Yoga destination in November as it hosts Spinning Escape Jamaica (SEJA) in Negril. This three day event, which boasts over 50 sessions delivered by local and internationally renowned Spinning Master Instructors, yoga and fitness presenters, is designed not only to develop the skills of fitness professionals but to also provide a weekend of fun and inspiration for all types of fitness enthusiasts and yogis.

The Desk at 13 West sat down with SEJA Co Founder, Natalie Murray to discuss the 3 day event and here are 5 reasons why we think you need to pack your running shoes and sweat pants and head to Negril!

1. 50 sessions over three days: The team behind SEJA understands that everyone has their preferences when it comes to fitness and this is why they are offering a diverse number of sessions to accommodate everyone’s needs. So whether you are into Yoga, Spinning, or outdoor fitness, there will be an event there for you!

2. International Master Instructors will be in the island: To attend any fitness event of this caliber would normally cost you hundreds of dollars and hours of flight time but SEJA brings it all straight to Jamaica! There will be instructors from Chile, Ecuador, United States and Jamaica all at this event - it doesn’t get better than this!

3. Conceptualized by 3 Jamaicans and an Australian: What do you get when you put three Jamaicans and an Australian Spinning fitness experts together, the premier Spinning fitness retreat. The Jamaicans, Jodi, Lisa, and Natalie and the Australian, Tash, have been, for a long time, looking for a way to host an exciting fitness event that would incorporate all the good things about Jamaica while giving participants the best fitness experience. This gave birth to SEJA.

4. The In- Trinity Sensation will be in the island: What’s the In-Trinity Sensation? In-Trinity was designed by the creator of Spinning himself, Johnathon "Johnny G" Goldberg. This euphoric exercise is, in many ways, the polar opposite of Spinning. The pedal-to-the-music session lengthens, tones and strengthens the body, leaving you feeling rejuvenated, revitalized and in complete harmony.

5. All White Reggae Beach Party: One thing about people in the Caribbean is that they not only know how to have a good time, but they also know how to throw a great party. So when the 3 Jamaicans who were part of the conceptualizing team knew they were hosting the ultimate fitness event, they knew they had to include one thing: a reggae beach party.
