Like an Olympic athlete, the new Mercedes-Benz GLS demonstrates presence and character and now holds the record of being the only full-fledged seven-seater in the European premium SUV market. With three rows of seats, the GLS allows you to travel in comfort, giving you ample elbow and headroom space in all three rows. Easily fitting a family of up to seven comfortably. These seats also allow for backrest angle adjustment, electric folding and heating even for those in the back. The comfort felt with every touch of the soft interior upholstery is almost as amazing as how you feel on a relaxing ride to the country. “It is a really big deal for us because it is our only seven seater. It has a lot of options in terms of features you can have on this car. As well as it has quite a few engine options who want to make the car their own,” Sloane Jackson, General Manager of Silver Star Motors Limited said.

What’s cool about the GLS is the state of the art information, multimedia and communications systems that is carries. It has a large 7 inch high-resolution colour Media Display and Audio 20 USB sound system with eight loudspeakers. Apart from the state of the art operating and display concept, it features COMAND Online that has integrated WLAN hotspot functionality and provides high-speed LTE data communication, depending on network availability. This feature also allows you to sync your smart phone with the built-in device. You can access your Whatsapp messages, Facebook, Instagram and Google Maps manually or by voice command.
“This is the first car in Jamaica that we’ve ever brought in that has smartphone integration which allows you to actually bring up the apps up on your phone in the car and actually use the apps in the car,” Jackson said.
The air suspension system AIRMATIC with enhanced damping system ADS allows you to breathe easy when travelling around town. With your windows rolled up, you can inhale ionised air which basically purifies the air inside while keeping the car cool. Drivers of the GLS need not worry about the safety of their passengers as the car is equipped with a driver assistance system which includes a fitted three-point safety belt on all seven seats.
Just as how the lion is king of the jungle and feared by those it comes close to, the new GLS will command its surroundings just by being there. With chrome details such as the roof rails, underbody protection, beltime trim strips, luggage compartment handle and side sill trim that create attractive highlights, the GLS sparks interest effortlessly.
All engines of the new GLS provide better performance, with in part reduced fuel consumption. The powerful GLS 63 4MATIC with with a peak output of 430 kW (585 hp), discrete suspension and the revised AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G- TRONIC transmission, this vehicle represents the pinnacle of the GLS model series.
