This is not just a Jamaican activity, it’s a regional thrust towards Supligen… Anything that deals with health and fitness we are on it, but most importantly we are all about the Caribbean lifestyle on the go. Minister of Sport, Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange commended JABBFA for the tremendous work they have been doing to transform the fitness landscape in Jamaica and for creating greater awareness of bodybuilding. Jamaicans are recognising the importance of health and wellness and many have adopted their lifestyles to include fitness, healthy diet, rest and relaxation, Grange noted.

While health and wellness is seen mostly from an individual perspective, as a country, we must also view health and wellness from a national and even global perspective, Grange added. Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange, Minister of Sports

Grange also congratulated title sponsor Supligen for supporting JABBFA and the National Championships & Fitness Expo over the years.

Your contribution to the development of sport is well noted and appreciated, Grange said. Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange

Grange who was absent from the launch had her greetings read by the Senior Director of Sports in the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, Florette Blackwood.

The competition represents Jamaica’s largest national championship and will see over 100 athletes participating for the ultimate Mr. and Ms. Jamaica crown. The National Championships and Fitness Expo also will feature a fitness village with over 30 exhibitors expected to showcase their sporting goods and products.

The action on the stage on August 27 starts at 6pm. General Admission is $2,000. VIP $4,000. Season Tickets for both August 26-27 cost $3,000.
