1. Guy Harvey will be there

His artwork speaks for themselves, and if you were cool enough back in the days then you used to rock your Guy Harvey shirt with a pair of Umbro shorts. Well Guy Harvey is more than artwork he is also a Marine Biologist and a very vocal and active advocate for marine conservation.

He will be in Jamaica for the tournament to film a documentary, starting on the Monday with the Canoe Tournament . Also, Guy will be doing a workshop with the anglers on the correct way to catch and release a Marlin.

2. Proceeds go towards We Care For Cornwall Regional

We love when events have a philanthropic component to it, and so we were happy to learn that the proceeds from the comedy night will go directly to 'We Care' for Cornwall Regional. This charity's overall goal is to work alongside the professionals at the hospital and the Ministry of Health to determine the areas of need and to raise funds to address these deficiencies - and if you live in Jamaica you know that our health sector needs all the help it can get! So this is definitely a plus!

3. Majah Hype will bring the HYPE!

If you are into social media like we are then we know you have come across a video from Majah Hype. His talent is unlike any other and he has excelled in bringing laughter to many across the caribbean not only because of the humour but because most of the scenarios are relatable.

With Majah Hype being live and on stage, we don’t know what to expect but what we know we will expect is a lot of laughing-til'-you-can’t-breathe moments!

4. Nightly dock lymes following the fishing days

Some may argue that the best part of the event is the nightly lymes on the dock after a long day of fishing. Here is where the true camaraderie and the spirit of the anglers are showcased.

Anglers use this opportunity to catch up on the day’s events and share stories with each other and to of course, hop from boat to boat to fill up their cups and well just relax.

For the persons who don’t go out fishing, this is their opportunity to also be in the mix - sounds like a win win to us!

5. Tight Lines & Tan Lines

‘After the show is the after party’... Well Tight Lines is just that, the party after the party. It’s the moment where all things come together and the celebration begins. Everyone is out of competitor mode and has switched into celebrating the week that was. Friends of the Anglers who weren’t able to head out onto the rough seas now come down to join in the fun.

Tan lines, tight lines, sun, rum & fun - we don’t think we need to say anymore to convince you.. Do we?
