Coldwell Banker gives back to Jamaica Society for the Blind

Coldwell Banker Jamaica Realty handed over a newly refurbished kitchen to the Jamaica Society for the Blind on the 21st of December. The project which started in October was completed earlier this (December) month with the help of sponsors Active Traders, Tile City, Enerbiz and Architect, Radcliff Jones.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony Andrew Issa, realtor and owner of the Coldwell Banker real estate franchise in Jamaica said that he was pleased when Coldwell Banker received the letter from the Jamaica Society of the Blind seeking assistance.

When I came over here I saw the need and I realised that it was a worthy cause. We were in a position to help to expand and refurbish the kitchen and we acted on that,” Issa said.

He further noted that the improvement made to the kitchen facilitate will uplift the lives of the individuals there as they can learn to cook in a better facility.

For Mr. McLean, who is the Chairman of the Jamaica Society of the Blind, a brand new kitchen facility was a dream come true. He expressed gratitude to Coldwell Banker and the sponsors.“We are happy that Coldwell Banker considered the Jamaica Society for the Blind a worthwhile project and I’m sure that future activities in this kitchen will certainly demonstrate its usefulness to the lives of persons who are blind or visually impaired,” he said.
