The Prime Minister’s Youth Award for Excellence will recognize 15 individuals between the ages of 15 and 29 who have excelled and contributed to national development in the areas of :

 - Academics

- Agriculture and Agro-Processing

- Art & Culture

- Community Development

- Entrepreneurship/ Social Entrepreneurship

- Environmental Protection

- Journalism/E- Journalism

- Innovation in Science & Technology

- Sports

 - National Leadership

- Youth Development

- New Media

Due to Covid-19, the event for the award which bestows the highest national honour on Jamaicans within this age group has been pre-recorded and will be broadcasted live on Television Jamaica and online through the Ministry of Education’s social media pages.

Special Guests Include:

- The Most Honourable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica

- The Honourable Fayval Williams, Minister of Education and Youth

- The Honourable Robert Morgan, Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister
